My style has developed over the years, and has settled into an eclectic grungy aesthetic leaning hard into the industrial “look of steampunk”, incorporating the use of found objects and up cycling. I have been teaching classes and workshops for many years now, and find that it gives me great personal satisfaction when I can show a person a new technique or tip they can take with them for use in other areas of their artistic journey.
I teach classes as simple as cardmaking and as complex as several daylong workshops where the students leave with a completed handcrafted book filled with twists and turns at every page! Classes can be light and whimsical, or move toward my favorites including more vintage/mechanical types of projects. Beginner to advanced classes are offered in many of the project types including: cardmaking, inking techniques, bookbinding, mixed media modern mosaics (want to know more about this?), bookmaking, mixed media canvases, art journaling, faux metal work, ATCs, assemblage and more.
I enjoy selling my art, but my heart lies in teaching. I hope one day to teach you a thing or two!
